We are seeking dedicated and motivated lawyers to join our team for the
following positions: -
The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of civil litigation
matters and will be expected to manage files independently while working
collaboratively with the firm's litigation team and external counsel.
Key Responsibilities: -
- Manage litigation matters from inception to conclusion, including ensuring compliance with all court timelines and procedural requirements.
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, cause papers, written submissions, legal opinions, correspondence, and other litigation-related documents.
- Attend case managements, hearings, trials, appeals, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Liaise and correspond with clients, courts, opposing counsel, external solicitors, witnesses, experts, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Advise clients on litigation strategy, legal risks, and dispute resolution options.
- Prepare witnesses, organise evidence, and assist in trial preparation.
- Maintain accurate case records, monitor progress of assigned matters, and provide regular updates to clients and supervising partners.
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, pupils, or litigation support staff where required.
Requirements: -
- Minimum 5–7 years' post-qualification experience in civil and commercial litigation.
- Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin and/or Cantonese will be an added advantage.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple matters effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and client management skills.
- Willing to travel when required.
