- Able to draft and review agreement in both Bahasa Malaysia and English with minimum supervision and errors.
- Familiar and understand commercial transactions.
- Experienced in handling mergers acquisition and due diligence.
- Able to advise and ensure compliance issues.
- Well verse in companies act 2016 and contracts act 1950.
- Able to provide legal advice on structuring of legal documentation.
- Familiar with corporate structure and corporate restructuring.
- Able to attend meetings and discussions with clients and to advice clients on any corporate matters.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor of Law – LLB (Hons) or Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) and must be admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia.
- Have a good understanding of the Company’s Act.
- At least 5 years of working experience.
- Effective spoken and written communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Corporate Law and Commercial Law.
- Able to draft commercial contracts, Joint ventures, Shareholders agreements and other corporate contracts.
- Able to handle matters independently and work under pressure.
- A team player who is able to work with peers and senior management.
- Organised and resourceful.
