Pupil-in-Chambers (Corporate & Commercial)
During your pupillage, you will be exposed to a broad range of matters, including:
- Hands-on experience in drafting, reviewing, and preparation of commercial agreements.
- Conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions, research notes, and memoranda with the right tools.
- Supporting the team in due diligence exercises for corporate transactions.
- Attending client meetings, discussions, and internal briefings.
- Assisting in matters relating to M&A, Capital Markets, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Undertaking other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the firm.
Legal Associate (Corporate & Commercial)
- 2-5 years PQE
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating on commercial agreements, M&A documents, and finance documents.
- Conducting and reviewing legal due diligence and undertaking regulatory
compliance reviews.
- Preparing legal opinions, research papers, and memoranda on corporate and commercial issues.
- Supporting capital markets transactions, including IPO-related matters.
- Advising clients on governance, regulatory, and cross-border issues.
- Liaising directly with clients, banks, regulators, and regional stakeholders.
- Managing transactions from initial stages to completion, working closely with partners.
- Managing projects independently with minimal intervention.
Requirements
Pupil-in-Chambers (Corporate & Commercial)
- A recognised law degree and completion of CLP/Bar Finals or equivalent.
- Strong command of English; proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage.
- Good research, drafting, and analytical abilities.
- Responsible, organised, and able to manage timelines.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Legal Associate (Corporate & Commercial)
- 2 to 5 years PQE in corporate or commercial practice.
- Strong drafting, research, and analytical abilities.
- Excellent command of English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
- Organised, reliable, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
