The Conveyancing Practice Sub-Committee of the Selangor Bar Committee wishes to highlight and remind members that, following up from previous discussions with the relevant authorities


i)	the requirement placed by PTD Klang for Banks to renew their power of attorney every 5 years has been revoked; and 


ii)	for discharge of charge registration, PTD Klang’s requirement for a letter of confirmation from the chargee bank confirming the details of the bank’s attorney has been withdrawn. It was agreed by PTD Klang that the bank’s covering letter is sufficient as long as there is information or details of the bank’s attorney.
